Shocktober Continues
Due to my heinous work schedule, there won't be a Halloween Movie Bash in La Casa del Terror this year--the first time in 17 years that there hasn't been such a gathering among my friends, whether at my place or one of theirs. (The first two HMBs were held at JB's apartment, as were at least two subsequent parties. The HMB of 2008, which landed less than two weeks after Ms. Christopher died, was graciously hosted by Superbadfriend and her husband, Scooter.
However, just because there's no HMB this year, there's no reason why you can't see the decorations that went up before party was cancelled, now is there?

Man, everything looks so damn cool. I am totally hating on you because of photo #2; I would pet a rat to own those original Creature Features advertisements! Also love the little owl/ghost/black cat tableau (looks like something y mom would have had as a child) and those GREAT BIG pumpkins in the last photo. Is Jason really skulking from your ceiling, or is that one of your photographic tricks?
The owl/ghost/kitty card came from Jessie & Scott--arrived last night, photographed last night, posted this a.m. And the Creature Features ads? Got those off of eBay a couple of years ago. Love 'em.
As for Jason, he's atop the CD shelves in the dining room, so he is literally inches from the ceiling. The angle of the photo makes him look almost life-sized!
Is it unmanly to be afraid of a life-sized Jason?
It's not wrong. Nope. Not at all. Kinda sensible, really.
I will miss everyone at the HMB. Sorry it couldn't happen this year. :( Next year will be extra special. Or if everyone is up to it, maybe a christmas HMB? :) I love the decor. You always makes us feel so welcome.
