I literally gasped when I saw this photo, bro. It is really beautiful. Stunning. I was at Daley Plaza on Monday and thought the set-up looked a bit thrown together, and the big tree. . .rather homely. Had I photographed what I saw, it wouldn't entice anyone to visit the market. Your photo makes the plaza look lovely and festive and inviting.
Department of Cultural Affairs, you need my best friend's help!
The plaza itself looks OK to me--a bit crowded and not laid out perfectly, but OK. The tree, though...I have to agree, JB. I thought the city would throw plastic ornaments or beads or something else on the tree besides lights. It looks passable at night, but in daylight you can see that it's not terribly full and has some noticeable bare spots. It looks like a much taller version of Charlie Brown's tree--like a single shiny glass ball would kill the damn thing.

Very nice! I still have to make my way to the Christkindl market.
