Hey, I think I've eaten at that place! Around 4700 W. Montrose Ave., right? If it's the same spot, I can vouch for their old-school diner burgers and fries. Didn't have the nerve to try the foot-long Polish sausage though.
It's a little farther east--around 4100 W. Montrose--but they do indeed have great burgers, shakes and beef sandwiches. (Give me a cheesy beef with hot peppers and I'm in a food coma for the next few hours.)
Am I the only one who finds JB's comment ironic? Or is it just that I'm the only one rude enough to say so? And I'd love a great diner cheeseburger with fries and a shake RIGHT NOW!

Yes, Dee, you're the only one rude enough to say so, but to know you is to love you, dear.
There are many, many comments I could make on the sign and its connotations, Dee--I'm choosing to keep my mouth shut (for once).
I hadn't given that sign any thought before now! See what you've started, Dee!
