Let It Snow (Some More)

Chicago didn't get smacked by this weekend's snowstorm quite as bad as our neighbors to the north did--Minneapolis got a couple of feet of the white stuff, while the whole state of Wisconsin has been declared a disaster area by the governor. By comparison, we got off lucky: The storm came in as rain on Saturday afternoon, didn't change to snow until Saturday night and didn't drop much snow after that (maybe four inches total). The issue for us was the wind, which held a steady 30 mph much of the day, gusted over 50 mph and took what little snow fell here and sprayed it on anything that wasn't moving.

Nice, succinct recap of the snowstorm.

Four inches would send Portland into an apocalyptic panic. People would start eating their neighbors.
