Yesterday's Breakfast
A couple of times a month, I like to go to breakfast or brunch at a small diner a few blocks away from La Casa del Terror. Yesterday morning was one such time. My waitress paused patiently while I took the photo of the coffee, and the shot of the gyro skillet (gyro meat, feta cheese, hash browns, onions and three eggs over easy) makes me want to eat it all over again.

I used to order a similar dish at Petrov's on LaSalle & Randolph Sts. back in my C.H. days. It was a gyro omelette. Delicious as it was, your spot's gyro skillet looks even tastier.
