Apple Fest 2010

yesterday, a friend kindly drove me (and a few couple friends) out to Long Grove for the final day of their annual Apple Fest. Though technically a suburb of Chicago, Long Grove looks like it belongs somewhere on the other side of Lake Michigan, nestled in the rolling hills of wine country. On a crisp autumn afternoon after a lengthy workweek, it's just what these tired eyes needed.

These are great pics! And a caramel apple martini? I'll bet it's worth the eight bucks--too sins wrapped into one...

This looks like a lovely way to spend a crisp, sunny autumn day. What did you buy other than pie?

I also bought some stir fry sauce from Galena Canning Co. and some Halloween décor. The pie was heated up Monday morning and subsequently served at a coworker's bridal shower.
