I am so sad to see how rusty this totem pole is!!! That was our class gift of 1983! I thought they would at least keep it up! How disappointing! I wonder how expensive it would be now to get it repaired -- it would have been easier to maintain it every couple years instead of letting it just rust like this!
I graduated from Lane tech in the class of 08. I cannot give many specifics, but I know there are discussions of a possible totem pole makeover in the near future. It would be funded by a University that has good relations with the school.
